My kids know that they are going to receive a book from me every Christmas, birthday, and sometimes on Easter or Valentine’s Day too! Books are my favorite gift to give. Since I also love monthly or seasonal themes, I put together a year of children’s books perfect to give as gifts.
This list of twelve children’s books would be a sweet baby shower gift or gift for a new mom. If you want to go all out, you could purchase the whole set, but a book corresponding to the birth month of the baby would be sweet all on its own. These would also make a lovely birthday gift for a young child.

Alternatively, you can gift a book written by a children’s author who has the same birth month. It creates a fun connection for kids to know that the person who wrote or illustrated the book shares a birthday month with them.
