Printable Meal Train Delivery Template

One of the things I love about our church is that we care for one another in practical ways. I’ve been the receipient of meal deliveries each time I had a child, and I love giving back to others in this way as well.

This printable meal delivery note is an easy way to let your meal recipient know what they’re getting and provide any necessary instructions.

Section 1: What’s For Dinner

The first section is a spot to let your recipient know what is included in the food you’re bringing.

For families with kids, meals that are somewhat deconstructed can be good so kids are able to pick and choose the things they like. This might be the ingredients for tacos, burrito bowls, or pulled pork sandwiches.

Another go-to option is a one-dish casserole that reheats well—lasagna, ground beef and noodle casserole, chicken divan, or enchiladas.

A quick google search for “best meals for new moms” will give you lots of suggestions. The meal ideas can be used for any circumstance—recovering after surgery, death in the family, or a deployed military spouse.

No matter what meal I send, I always add fruit, because it can be a dessert or a side, and is usually a hit with any kids in the home!

Section 2: Instructions

The second section is a place for instructions such as how long and what temp to heat or how to store.

There’s a little box to check to indicate that all dishes and containers are disposable and do not need to be returned. That is an extra little blessing!

If you regularly take people meals, you may want to keep a stack of disposable containers on hand.

Section 3: Additional Notes

This is a great place to add a note about any breakfast items you’ve included. A few muffins, a pan of baked oatmeal, or some breakfast burritos will always be a welcome addition!

The other way I like to use this section is to add a note letting the family know you’re praying for them or a scripture of encouragement.
