2020 Reading List

2020 reading list

Happy New Year! I took a bit of a blogging hiatus in December. The crafting, and baking, and gifting, oh my! Although I do love, love, love Christmas, I kind of think that New Year’s is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s a fresh start, a new beginning, and the possibilities are endless. There are goals to be set, plans to be made, and checklists a-plenty in January. First up for me is to decide on my reading list for the year.

Usually, I choose 12 books, one for each month. (You can read THIS POST to learn how I choose my books, and the books I chose for 2019.) For 2020, I am choosing 12 books again, with one book assigned to each month. But instead of picking up books willy-nilly after I’ve finished my book for the month, I’m making a longer list this year. Yippee! Books+lists=one happy girl! To be more purposeful in my reading this year, I added an additional 24 books that I’ve been wanting to read. That’ll put my 2020 book list at 36 books, approximately three per month.

Since I read 59 books in 2019, I feel fairly confident that I can get through the 36 on my list this year. I have a few fiction books on my list, and a few books that I intend to read with my girls. The remainder are nonfiction of one kind or another. Without further ado, here it is.

2020 reading list

I absolutely cannot wait to get started on my 2020 reading list. I’ve already started reading The Story of the World with the girls, and I’m enjoying it as much (or more) as they are.

“It’s not that I don’t like people. It’s just that when I’m in the company of others – even my nearest and dearest – there always comes a moment when I’d rather be reading a book.”
