Letter of the Week Theme: V is for Vegetables
Our letter of the week theme is “V” is for Vegetables!” (See the complete A-Z outline for the Preschool Learning Plan.) Along with the letter of the week, we explore numbers, shapes, and colors. You’ll get song, game, craft, and snack ideas, plus printables!

- Go on a letter sound hunt around the house (look for items that start with the letter of the week)

- Physical activity: “volleyball” (see how long they can keep a balloon or beach ball in the air)
- Do a veggie tasting: raw vs. cooked
- Plant vegetable seeds or starts
- Make a volcano (from Happy Brown House)
- Set up a veterinarian’s office for stuffed animals (table, scale, stethoscope, bandages, kennel)
- Make a vegetable journal: add a picture of each new vegetable your child tries

Farmer’s Market Shopping Trip (YouTube – Live Simply): Video tour through farmer’s market. Watch through about 1:40 for a camera tour through a variety of vegetables.
