Summer Road Trip Activity Journals
Taking a family road trip this year? Give your kids a break from the screens with a fun printable road trip journal. Whether you’re heading to a national park or across the state to Grandma’s house, your kids can each have their own journal to personalize with their memories and thoughts. Hours of entertainment and a memorable keepsake to look back on later.
You’ll find a free printable download in my resource library containing five days of travel journal prompts, plus lots of games and activities. For a 10-day road trip journal, or road trip journals to specific national parks, check out my Etsy shop!
Road Trip Record and Details
Build anticipation with your kids before you hit the road with a page to record trip details like how long your trip will take, what they’re looking forward to, and what they’re going to see.
They’ll also have a page to record general details like cities you drove through, what you did along the way, and funny things that happened. Road trips notoriously don’t go perfectly as planned, so make sure you look for the humor in sticky situations!
Daily Travel Journal with Prompts
Included in the printable journal are five days of road trip records with prompts that vary from day to day. Some days also include a joke or a place to doodle and draw.
Here’s a list of some of the included prompts:
- how I’m feeling
- something cool I saw today
- favorite thing I ate today
- things I want to remember about today
- something that made me laugh
- something I learned
- something I’m thankful for today
- something I’m looking forward to
