April’s birthstone is diamond, a girl’s best friend! Diamonds are the hardest natural material on earth and have long been associated with love. Best known as a clear, whitish gem, diamonds actually come in a variety of colors, including yellow, pink, blue, and green.
April Flower
The birth flower associated with April is the daisy, representing purity and innocence. Most recognizable in its form with white petals and a yellow center, this flower comes in additional colors such as yellow, pink or red. Daisies can be a hardy plant and depending on the variety, may bloom from early spring to late fall.
A second birth flower associated with April is the sweet pea, native to the Mediterranean region and known for its fragrance.
